John 12:48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

FROM THE COMPARISON OF THESE PASSAGES IT WILL APPEAR :

1. That they all refer to one and the same period—a certain definite and specific time.

2. That they all either assume or affirm that the period in question is not far distant.

3. The limit beyond which it is not permissible to go in the New Testament scriptures, viz. the lifetime of the generation which rejected Christ.

4. This brings us to the period of the destruction of Jerusalem, as marking ‘the close of the age,’ ‘the day of the Lord,’ ‘the end.’ That is to say, “the coming of the Lord,” (The “Parousia.” )

I recognize Mat 24 referring to the fall of Jerusalem and probably Rev as well. If every prophecy is 'preterist'How do you explain a coming back to life from death out of the grave since it is the only way we can live for eternity? What scriptures do you allow to explain this event? It seems to me that Acts 1:10-11 referrs to a literal visible coming. If not, when is the end of civilisation when the restoration is complete and death abolished so the kingdom can be turned over to the Father?

Acts 1:10-11
Melvin,

In regards to "a literal visible coming" in Acts 1:10-11 there is an article titled "In Like Manner" on this website that I think is helpful in our understanding that passage.

Under 'Last Days' you missed: Acts 2:17
Also, you have 2 places where Jude is shown to have a chapter 1 --- Not in my Bibles.
Otherwise a good job and I agree.
