astonished. astonishment. Figure of speech Polyptoton (App-6), for emphasis. See Genesis 26:28. Greek. existemi = to be put out [of one's mind], Noun, ekstasis; hence, Eng. ecstasy = entrancement, implying bewilderment. See Mark 16:8. Luke 5:26, Acts 3:10.
