Acts 14

Introduction

1  Paul and Barnabas are persecuted from Iconium.
8  At Lystra Paul heals a cripple, whereupon they are reputed as gods.
19  Paul is stoned.
21  They pass through divers churches, confirming the disciples in faith and patience.
26  Returning to Antioch, they report what God had done with them.

And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

Verse 2

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Perga
Perga was a considerable city of Pamphylia, towards the sea coast, and near the Caystrus, famous for the temple of Diana.

Attalia, now Antalia, or Satalie, was a maritime city of Pamphylia, the chief residence of the prefect.

And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
